Ashy-headed Laughingthrush
Garrulax cinereifrons
(Endangered). Endemic.
A Scarce species
confined to thick
rainforests in the
foothills up to
the higher hills.
It lives in flocks
and generally feeds
and moves on or
close to the ground.
A flock utters a
soft trill chr,
chrrr mixed with
soft short whistles.
When agitated, may
utter a laughing
call. A reqular
species in bird
waves in which they
usually provides
good views. Kitulgala
and Sinharaja are
very good sites
for the species.
